I am very pleased to share that Ten Bistro has teamed up with GardenZeal to serve our very local, very fresh, organically grown vegetables.

My husband and I have been customers of Ten Bistro since it opened 5 years ago. The atmosphere is great and we love running into neighbors there. On a few occasions we’ve popped in just for a glass of wine and some social time. What has kept us going back though, is the special and delicious combinations of vegetables they serve. Don’t get me wrong – we’ve also enjoyed some delicious salmon and seafood with those vegetables! The Ten Bistro menu includes a wide variety of seafood, chicken, meat and vegetarian dishes. Each is delivered in a beautiful presentation that usually includes a unique combination of vegetables, flavors, texture and color.

Although we are not vegetarians, we are vegetable enthusiasts! Our diet is heavily plant-based and we have a large organic backyard garden. It’s been a long hot summer and I am still harvesting a big crop of Eggplant (Aubourgine) and peppers. As I filled another basket last week, I began to wonder whether a local restaurant might be interested in some of my very local, organically grown produce. I immediately thought of Ten Bistro.

I reached out to Jesse Kauffman, Ten Bistro owner to ask for a conversation. He answered immediately, “Let’s meet tomorrow!”

Our homegrown, very local produce seemed like a perfect match for Ten Bistro. Jesse is serving his interpretation of a Moroccan dish, Eggplant Charmoula this weekend. This *Chef Special is delicious – vegetables steaming with aromatic spices, served over a pearly bed of Israeli couscous and topped with crispy pan-seared salmon.
